ABOUT US

CATHY J. COHEN has over twenty years of experience in organizational administration, teaching, consulting, writing, and technical editing. She has held positions as a senior level hospital administrator and has worked with health care providers, community health centers and hospitals, corporate and nonprofit managers in strategic planning, communications, and marketing strategy development. She has also worked in public relations and media relations, and with fundraising professionals to create development communications, fundraising strategy, brochures and annual reports. She launched her consulting firm in 1990 and works with clients throughout the Commonwealth and in other New England states.

She has served on the Board of the New England Society for Healthcare Strategy and has been on several nonprofit boards. Cohen is also a writer, workshop facilitator, and contributing author to national journals.

She received her M.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and has recently expanded her work to include documentary film production. She is currently a member of the Core Pool of Interim Executive Directors of Third Sector New England, based in Boston.

CHRISTINE POLACZAK began a design career in the motion picture industry in 1973. She has worked mainly in the non-profit environment since 1981, in the fields of public television, healthcare, and education offering graphic design and illustration services. In a position as communications associate in healthcare marketing and now as an independent consultant, she also acts as art director, hiring professionals, buying print services and managing program budgets. Awards include the Printing Industry of the South Award of Excellence in 2000. She is also a pastel and watercolor artist with work currently exhibited in private collections.
